Daniel Trejo (Danny)
Chef Danny started with us in 2013 as a line cook, and has worked just about every position since! He has spent time as a restaurant server in both the morning and evenings, a line cook, Sous Chef, and finally Executive Chef! Chances are if you have been to Glen Prairie, you have experienced just how kind and welcoming Chef Danny is to everyone!
"I have been part of the Glen Prairie team for many years now, I consider the front of the house and all my kitchen crew my family. Food has always been the place where I captured my memories. As a little boy I saw my mom making corn tortillas by hand and cooking for my entire family, as an act of love that I always cherished. Some of my happiest memories come from my time with my grandparents, both farmers, especially my grandma Melin who made cheese and fresh crema to sell every week at her ranch on Sundays. My favorite foods are those full of flavor. I love seafood and spicy Thai curries, but most of all I love to sit at a table and enjoy fresh delicious ingredients that bring out happy memories while creating new ones with the ones I love. My favorite drink is a well-seasoned michelada or the passionfruit mezcal sour by our very own mixologist extraordinaire, Kat. Cheers!"
